We put our land rover Freelander into a local garage who fitted a new cam belt/water pump combo. 10 days before our Cornwall holiday. The day of the holiday the car was sluggish, with intermittent burning and did not pick up speed well we managed to get to our destination and did not use the car again until the journey home, the car got us home but died we then put it into a landcover specialist who diagnosed the cam sensor had blown they said we should return it to the garage who did the work as they believed the cam belt was a tooth out which is why the cam sensor blew! we are taking the original garage to the small claims as the work they did was redone 3 weeks later! the original garage's defence is if it was anything they did it would not of been drivable but I know this to be untrue! they state the car would not have gone 300miles at 30miles an hour well it did more miles than that but not at much more speed... can anyone please give me some advice

oops not sure where I do that... new to the site clearly I missed the intro bit.... sorry
You're in the Introduce Yourself section so just tell everyone a bit about yourself and your Landy(s)

Piccies of Landies are appreciated by the natives ;)

Oh ok I didn't realise I still don't understand where the wall is on FB..... I do have pic's of our old faithful landy but it may take me longer than others to work out how to put them up ;). I am a podiatrist with a clinic in Hertfordshire. I drive a van for work as free advertising, so our landy is the family car which we love this is our 2nd landy and hopefully not our last.......although my husband uses it for fishing which drives me nuts as it stinks for days after
