You did "Yella Disco" but I thought it deserved to be highlighted.:)

As for tool tips I suggest buying the best that you can afford as most tools will do what
they were designed to do but good tools will allow you to abuse them a lot more (scaffolding poles on socket wrenches).

Ps
Halfrauds do there own socket set with a no quibble lifetime guarantee
i know i split a 27mm socket (yes scaffolding pole) on a 20 year old socket set and they just swapped it for me no questions.

a good trolley jack! the ones supplied by LR are very optimistic. the one supplied with the p38 looks like it wouldnt hold up a mini, never mind a 3 ton lump like a rangey.

Its quite a lot of tools for £60, however used as they should be they would be fine...

Have a look at the spanners, the cheap ones that bend have a poor finnish usually, and can look like polished plastic. The snap on kit you saw at your work experience as you know has a good finnish, and just looks quality.

With landys expect lots of rusted on bolts etc... so you can expect to have a lot of brute force being applied through these tools.

The hammers have been touched on above, however I must mention again, you will need a hammer... infact a few, in different weights...

Much like in the hit Bond film Goldeneye...

"Pass me the hammer Jimmy" <Bond passes Valentine a small engineering hammer> "No the bigger one, the sledge" <Bond passes the sledge... Valentine hits engine with sledge... vrooom...>

the problem with these sets you are looking at is that there are tools in em that you will never use and you pay for the box as well. if i were you i would get a cheap box from somewheree like machine mart then each week visit your local car boot sale and buy whatever you can, you will get a load more fer yer money, where abouts are you, ive got a box of old spanners that i never use ;)
