K, wanna get some either general grabber AT2 or bfgoodrich AT's. But i want them in size 235/85.16.

Looking at paddocks, they sell black mod steels in 16x7 or 16x8. Whats the difference? would i be better with the 16x8's?

Right, now i've looked at the 'disco tyre guide' thread in the 'common questions' bit. And followed the links. I see what i've got do to the disco, apart from the steering stops, dont understand and haynes does nothing to assist either. If i fit spacers, would i get away with the steering stop adjustment?

ALso, if i fit spacers on a normal setup, would i need extended wheel arches? no adverts/sites say so, just wondering.

cheers, all, again :D

With spacers fitted the tyres will not come out beyond the body line and you do not need to alter the steering lock stops, i have spacers fitted to mine and the only thing that I have to check regularly are the wheel bearings, as more force is applied to them. Spacers are a small fortune but if you fit the Weller steel wheels they are the same as if you had fitted spacers as they stick out a bit further than std Disco wheels (alloy or steel)

I just adjusted the steering stops a little. I must admit you do end up with the turning circle of a double decker bus but saves ya tyres and it will pass a MOT.
As for where are the stops, If you look on your swivel the are two bolts (one either side) that stick out towards the centre of the car,
Loosten the lock nut and make the bolts stick out further so that the tyre on the oposite side dosen't hit the radius arm.

How often do you have to check them? and where do we get said wheels?
