Just a little update Yesterday I took the engine cover off to fit the synergy. While I was there I was curious to how bad the EGR valve was and ended up pulling the small vac pipe off and not being able to put it back on. Opps. Today black smoke 
Not good. While I was I noticed there was a lot of oil in all the intake pipes but I failed to remove the inlet manifold. I'll be honest, I didn't look online to find a how too I just started loosening bolts but to no avail. I checked the air filter and it was filthy so thats getting done at the weekend.
Now the synergy seems to be installed but I messed around with to many things yesterday so I'm not convinced excatly what I broke. Car is still running, it feels faster when it down shifts gear (auto box) but lots of smoke I am hoping its just the EGR pipe that I pulled off.
Just ordered a blanking plate for that. I'll read up how to actually remove the inlet to clean it too.
Lost a bit of enthusism today in all honesty, car poofing black smoke, rear drivers side indicator is faulty. Keep changing the bulb but it seems to keep coming loose. Having a crap time at work (I've been made redundant and majorly fed up).
