Hi everyone

As a new Defender owner I want to do as much as possible to protect 'Eve'....yep...that's her name. Is it of any real benefit to get her belly protected with waxoyl. It seems to make sense to me. I'm aware that defenders are very vulnerable to rust and corrosion. Have you peeps had it done. Did you have any problems?

There are better products out there, Is yours a new one as in a 2012????? Get better rust protection for it with something like Ziebart . As this can stop your bulkhead and pillars, door frames and other steel part from rusting.

Waxoyl is a yearly things and is not much good for the above parts as it will drip off after applied. For a new one Ziebart is the best

It is worth doing as long as it's done right. As has been said, there are already a number of threads on this and there are other products out there more suited to different applications. Even if you are not intending to do it yourself, it is worth reading up on it so if you take it to someone else to do you are armed with the knowledge to know if you are being ripped off or not.
