Hi guys, I need peoples opinions/expertise before I do somthing stupid!

I have a 98 300tdi 90 csw it's had an auto conversion (Ashcroft) and is only on 70,000 miles. It's mint.
I've always wanted a 90 truck cab and to be fair I've seen how the td5's go and don't get me wrong I love the 300tdi but could do with somthing a little more thrilling day to day.

My question is.. do I make my mint county station wagon into a truck cab and td5/ manual convert it. With the view of clawing back money where I can in the resale of the old engine and box or..
Do i sell it as the original clean example it is and buy a truck cab toy from there.
Thanks

Hi and welcome!

If it’s a genuine county station wagon, keep it as is. They make good money, especially the Tdi’s. If you want a Td5 with a truck cab, sell the Tdi and buy one. You’ll likely be able to get a good Td5 truck cab for what the Tdi will fetch.

Let us know how you get on.
