I have ordered a kenlowe fan and will be fitting it asap. I am hoping to remove the viscous fan all together and replace it with the kenlowe. Can anyone tell me if there is any other pulleys driven by the same belt and is there any reason not to remove the viscous fan?

You do not touch the pulleys, just the fan. If you have aircon and it's a diesel you could have saved your cash and used the aircon condensor fans to do the job instead of buying a Kenlow. Small mod to add a stat, job done.

Yes it is a p38 diesel. Fan already ordered from Paddock along with PSI powerbox.

Keith, if I just remove the fan does that not mean the viscous unit will still be operative? or am I just showing my ignorance :).

The viscous unit is attached to the fan. They come off as a complete unit. Spanner on nut and a sharp tap to right. Viscous units always undo in the same direction the fan turns.

Thanks Wammers, obviously was showing my ignorance :(
Still, that is the great thing about this forum, you can ask daft questions and someone will put you right. So far I have sorted my air suspension, got advise on fitting 12s (grey caravan plug) and in tank pump in addition to learning a lot about the p38 from searching archives and by being a member of the forum.
