Tirfor t35

Hi - I have seen a T35 advertised that is ex-mod. It has got a handle with it but no cable. What would you say is a reasonable asking price for it? It seems to be in good nick but without cable i obiously cant test it. It is a genuine tirfor though and if it lives up to the tirfor reputation i would think it is pretty solid?? Dont have any pics unfortunatley but what do you rekon is a fair asking price?

check e bay for guide prices m8, theres no rope with it? it may look good on the outside but ya can't see inside. the jaws, pins and cams need looking at m8, then figure in the cost of a new load rope for it (tirfor ropes are not standard sizes so need to go to a lifting company for one).your gonna need to get it real cheap as your taking a risk because you can't see it working. unless someone has a rope you can borrow (could try hiring a rope off speedy for a day to test it)

No cable it's worth about 40/50 quid if it's in good nick. all the parts (there int many) are easy to get hold off. & to be honest usually it's just the shear pins that go. and they is a consumable item anyway

ok thanks for the advice guys. Any ideas where the best place to get cable is? What sort of length do you think i should look at. it will only be used for green laning emergencies but i am guessing 20m?

They fetch silly money on ebay even with no rope or handle.

Aye but you can use anything for the handle. The rope however needs to be special stuff and it ain't cheap.
