I opted to sell my p38 in favour of something as equally unreliable, the only difference being it's too complicated to fix myself
Oh.. and nobody wants my p38
I know how you feel K, same with my original '87 Classic.
Over 2,300 views on here & not one offer, maybe too pricey (?) but then I've done my research.
Perhaps Classics are not complex enough or too reliable for today's buyers

I loved my classic, love my 38 too, don't really want to sell but needs must. I've spent more on the 38 than it's worth, I'll never get that back but it was funI know how you feel K, same with my original '87 Classic.

Heaven help you when you get to my age. My list of complaints include arthritis both hips and knees(one replaced) Guillain Barre Syndrome, Ischemic heart disease, colon cancer. I've always said its one off the requirements is being ill if you own a Land Rover
You take care and look after yourself. The joy of driving along in a P38 makes you forget all those ills

I have been sorting through all the paperwork for the car and noticed it was registered on the 30/04/2002 so must have been one of the very last Vogue SE models to leave the factory. Is there a good online resource to find out more information, like a build spec sheet or similar? Just thought it would be good stuff to pass on to a new owner.

Just checked in book. Last P38 came off the production line December 2001. All the info you need is on pages 90 to 93 inclusive if you can get hold of a copy

I've just discovered a possible reason for the lack of replies to my 'for sale' post. Whilst I've been encouraged by the number of views I've not opened the post lately .. why should I feel the need to (?) after all I know what I posted.
Out of curiosity/boredom I did open it a couple of days ago, only to find that the entire text has disappeared leaving just the images, so there are no details or asking price for viewers to read
I updated the post a few days ago, could I have inadvertently cocked it up ?
I've contacted the forum, now awaiting a response.

Just put my for sale advert in the For Sale Section. No idea what its worth as prices seem to be all over the place but open to sensible offers from within the community before I stick it up on Ebay.
Nice but, sadly I can't afford one at present.

So far I have had zero proper interest but lots of views on eBay in the P38 not even a cheeky offer, had a couple of locals have a nose but one just wanted to have a look as he is a land rover fan, the other one has no mechanical knowledge so I would be reluctant to sell it to him anyway. I do wonder if the running cost is putting people of buying big petrol V8's . After Thursday this week when I am in for my operation I might have to take it off sale for 6 to 8 weeks until I have recovered.
On the bright side I traded in my Octavis Vrs Estate for a Kodiaq Sportline 4x4, very nice to drive, might even persuade my wife to have a drive too.

I feel that. Since rattling my brain just existing is hard work. Had to change the CV joint last weekend, and it wiped me out. Just getting the hub nut off I resorted to borrowing a neighbourly Fijian so I had enough energy left to do everything else.
