I have just read a thread about door locks and a problem with a new lock I have just had a new drivers side door lock fitted as it had failed Now I cannot lock the car with the hand set but can open it with it I have to lock it with the key Any suggestions as I have had it fitted at Main Dealer in France

Take it back and ask them to do the job properly.

Dealing with a French Dealers Service Dept is like walking through treacle with sandals on However I am going to try seeing it cost 384 Euros

Hmmm I don't like to support dealers but I have found the service departments over here to be pretty good, Land Rover may be a different ball game to Renault & Hyundai though.
