I bought a tube of Tiger Seal to seal some leaks on my Series 3 roof. Once the tube has been opened, will it dry out if it's not all used? I definitely won't need to use a whole tube in one go, and at £10 a tube it is a bit expensive just for it to dry out and then have to be thrown away.

I had some and it does dry out in the tip if you let it but after about 4 months or so I went back to it and still managed to use it but it had gone thicker and the tube ended up bending while trying to apply it. If I'm going to use it these days I try to plan out all future jobs with tiger seal so I can space them closer together to get the most out of my money

Unscrew the nozzle, clean it out, then put a piece of clingfilm over the end of the tube and screw the nozzle back on.

Alternatively nick a couple of spare nozzles next time you're in B&Q. Still use the clingfilm but you don't have to clean out the nozzle each time.

Cheers for the replies. I did some of the sealing today. They sure didn't make it easy to get at the joint between the aluminium roof and roof frame above the series 3 windscreen.
