P38A Ticking noise under load

Hi all,
Have a 98 Gems 4.0 se, it's done 71k and has full history. Have noticed a ticking noise which is coming from the right hand side of the engine (drivers side). Noticed it when warm and under load, was in a multi storey car park and could hear the ticking more when going up the ramp to the next levels. Checked exhaust/manifolds and they're OK. Sure it's coming from the engine, thinking rocker shaft, cam shaft??

look closer they are prone for cracking, manifold gasket/s also a high poss, + what you have mentioned or even a slipped liner

Sounds like its coming from under the rocker cover, no loss of water so hoping not a slipped liner.

Liner slip doesn't always result in coolant loss. Hopefully a rocker shaft / exhaust manifold as said.

Hoping it's just rocker and not the cam, if it's the cam I know it could be a big job!
