so up lakes last weekend and lost power.. strange ticking noise from injun area when I lifted bonnet.
changed fuel filter and no better.
so swopped lift pump and its been fine for a week and a half.
on way to work this morning and same loss of power started to occur.. opened bonnet and same ticking noise has started..
if I hold the throttle open it revs to about 2700rpm max then slowly dies until it stalls..
as I originally cured the problem by replacing the lift pump I am inclined to believe its the lift pump again.. but having two fail under the exact same circumstances is a little odd.
so could it be something else? read a few bits on here about air leaking into injector causing a ticking, but cant find info to check..
how would the new lift pump cure the air leak for a week and a half..
i'm so confused.. I can stick another lift pump on and see how it goes for a starter til I receive some suggestions from someone with more knowledge than I...
