i have noticed this long ago but did not really bothered me that much
when i first started the engine, the throttle response is pretty good i.e even a little bit of force will rev the engine
however, it then feels like i have to go almost half way down to get some response and recently during gear changes, my foot off the pedal, she will still stay at high rev for a second or two.
searched the forum and saw it is either the potentiometer or throttle sensor but not sure where to start
i want it to be consistent all the time...
any ideas?

Hi,
Do you have acess to Nanocom or similar as they will be able to read the values of the throttle pedal. There are two different types 2 & 3 track depending on age. Don't remember what they are but a search may. (Or we'll wait for the Electric Ferry Wizzard!)

no nanocom around me i think...
i guess mine is 2 track (up to 2002 if i am not wrong)
but why would it work fine for the first 20 30 mins then starts giving delayed response...??

My Disco was keeping the revs flaring when changing gear and I decided it might be the clutch switch on the bulkhead so bought another for £20. I found the old one to be very tight and after unplugging the electrical connection I could not undo it so sprayed it with WD, re plugged in the electrical connection and left it to soak. but now its now doing it and feels fine! So maybe the connection was dodgy or damp I dont know but I have the part for when it needs it.
