Throttle adjuster.

Recently had the engine out and put it back in again, however since it's been back in it's not been the same.Dead flat, foot down to the floor, nothing there, type o thing.

So I had a quick inspect as you do, and the throttle lever thing didn't move all the way to the stop thing when the accelerator was flat to the floor.
A few twists on the plastic screw adjuster thingy and with the pedal flat to the floor the throttle lever opened all the way to the stop. The first noticeable difference was the height of the pedal which was higher. But Christ what a difference to the performance a lot more oomph and whilst cruising at about 58 there was still more in reserve if I needed it.

Question is.... have I broke it? Seriously have I done something that I would probably be better off not having done?:amen:

the throttle is only connected to the pedal via a bowden cable - it might need adjusting but you'd be hard pushed to break it

My guess is that whilst the engine was out something came loose and probably needs readjusting, which is what i did, but I'm not I00% certain that what I've done is good or bad, it's not going to put any extra strain on the engine, over revving etc? or is the only real difference going to be the fact that my diesel useage is going to increase.

the max revs is set on the pump by a limit stop on how far the arm can move. If you hvan't touched this it should be fine
