Can anyone tell me what the three relays do that are on the RHS of the inside fusebox? RAVE and Haynes don't mention them. They are yellow and square. Car is a 2002 TD4. Found a You Tube explaining all fuses and relays but he points to these and says 'dunno what these are' !

Reason for asking is the middle one clicks when my engine cuts power at 3750 rpm. Need to identify and then work out cause and effect !

Thanks

By pulling the middle relay I have concluded, that on my car at least, this is the LP fuel pump relay. The manual shows this being under bonnet, but mine has a blank space where it should be !! My 2003 TD4 has it in the position marked in the manual - under the bonnet.

So - still don't know what the other 2 do. Anyone??

They are for the NTC heater elements on vehicles not fitted with the winter pack.

Vehicles with the winter pack only have 1 relay and a fuse box in the same location, which is for the heated front screen.

Thanks - don't suppose you know what fault would cause the engine management to cut the feed to the fuel pump relay do you?? I assume it is for protective purposes but for what I don't know.
