three amigos

hi I have a puzzle every now and then the three amigos turn up be it wilst driving or standing still . now when I turn the ignition off and leve it for lets say a short min. they clear with no fault code showing now could this be the shuttle valve failing ?

Hi, two questions:
1. what diagnostic tool was used?
2. the amigos are going out all together or the ABS stays on alone untill the vehicle moves away?

hi had the faults read by a friends hawkeye and they 3 amigos are going out together . ? is where do I start ?

Hawkeye is 100% reliable so if no codes logged after several amigo episodes then the ECU is very suspect... there are few cases when they come on due to sensor air gap without logging a code but then the ABS remains on alone untill the vehicle exceeds 10mph... i've never see this behaviour for SVS fault but nothing is impossible...or there are two problems... i'd rule out the SLABS ECU at this point but better try to read codes again before that

think ill try and grab my mates hawkeye and read the faults wilst they are active . might be a good start point .

Good ideea though with a well working ECU the codes should be stored as hystorical even if the fault is not current but go for it before you buy an ECU cos oddities are not uncommon when it comes to a D2... fortunately working ECUs from breakers are not very expensive
