sorry 3 amigos question ,ive read every thread i can find but must of mist this answer so here goes ,plug in said no feed to osf sensor brought new sensor ,plug in still reads no feed so check wiring to sensor, feed there ,checked sensor resist [correct reading] removed oring from sensor tc hd go of for 2 secs when ignition on so my question is does it havto be plugged in to switch lights of or will they go of automatic when all is well .

The diagnostic needs to be plugged in to clear the faults... the ABS light might stay on until you're travelling at more than 9 mph then it should go off.

Sometimes you can reset the 3 amigos just by turning the ignition off, then back on again, but it depends what fault caused the 3 amigos in the first place I believe..

what feed? cos the sensor is passive it's not supposed to be any feed there...for a sensor fault, if it was rectified and no fault present there's no need for tester the warnings must go out by themselves (as said the ABS only after 9.4mph was exceeded)... and what's that "correct reading" you've got by the way?

reading on sensor before it is connected to car should show resistance reading between 950-1100 ohms or so ive read ,done a trip round block around 35mph they didnt go off
