Three amigos sus inop park brake fault my experience

2006 l322 3.6 Diesel.
Well I got the above Bong Bong HDC unavailable, traction control, ABS, headlight level, suspension lowered.
My RSW EAS reset tool gave me Articulation validity fault and ABS - EAS Canbus fault.

My first thought was a height sensor but the info screen showed all height ok, I guess the height sensors feed this too. Also from the forums a Steering wheel angle sensor was a possible cause, again the info screen replicated the front wheel angles, so I guessed it's not the culprit.

The speedo was working so I guessed it's not a rear ABS sensor, so I checked the front ones.
Bingo front right had come adrift and was chewed up from catching and rubbing off struts etc.
repaired short cable with ferrule type crimp joints all good no more lights.

However about 6 weeks later Bong Bong pretty much the same faults came up.
I presumed my temporay repair had failed. I carefully dismantled the joints I had made and all looked fine.
I remade them all using spade connectors this time.

All the fault lights remained, head scratcher, maybe it was a new fault.
I had about three repair joints I cut them all out and used a piece of two core cable carefully remade joints.
Nope all lights remained,systems unavailable.
Ok time to get a bit more scientific, split one Joint and tested Ohms to wheel sensor about 450 Ohms.
So wheel sensor probably ok and continuity good.

Probed cores to abs ecu Volts this time about 1.5V for a second on Pos 2 key turn.
So it seems the ECU is powering up the sensor.
It looks like maybe a faulty ABS sensor then.

Just as one last resort I emery papered the Landy cable cores until I got a good Copper finish.
And soldered in a piece of cable with copper cores.
Bingo all lights out and ABS, HDC and EAS all functioning as normal.

So it seems if you must repair this cable the resistance of the joints is important.
I guess the waveform does not like noisy connections it's low level like 2.5V

I have ordered a new sensor but it takes a while to get stuff like that here.
My car had to pass an NCT our version of MOT so a field repair was required.

Anyway useless information, but ya never know.
It's another one, my 3rd Rangie been good for eighteen months. My first V8 Diesel.
I hope this isn't the start of it.
