thread size

can anyone tell me what the thread size is of the nuts that hold the rear shock absorbers in place , is it 7/16 UNF ,,,,,,,,,,MTIA ,,,,,,,

12mm i think, but probably wrong cant seem to get the hang of thread sizing by eye

the one that is on the end of the little shaft that the rear shock absorber hangs on and the thread that is on the other end (bottom) of the shocker ,,,,,,,,

thanks guys , it was m12 , but not the what i would call usual m12 , it is the fine version , m12 x 1.25 pitch ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

I damaged the thread on mine (both bolt & nut) when replacing the rear shocks (Disco 1).
One of my pointed me to a new shock mount and nut (was £15).
Britcar (UK) Ltd > NRC7981. SHOCK ABS MOUNT TOP REAR DEF/DIS (P)

if you end up having to replace the mount, the sedimenter will be coming off too! LINK
