Hi Phil,

Looks like a very nice car. HDC on the facelift cars is a button just behind the gear stick if I'm not mistaken, different to the collar on the pre facelifts. It should have it. I havent seen one without (even though it was originally an option). Good idea to do a search on here to find all the problem areas to check before you commit.

Hope this helps

Brilliant thanks may take a butchers at this if skoda goes!
been reading up on the problem areas and I'll print some off to remind me if I go to see it

Seems a low price considering all the work it's had done. IRD + coupling, wonder what they mean by coupling ?
New flywheel and clutch, mucho dinero.
The only issue I can see is the 5 weeks MOT. If they're prepared to put 12 months on it first, way to go.

I would be wary if they have just fitted ird what made it go was it the vcu and if it was check out the back diff that is a low price for one if it is all ok then grab it.

I went to look at a TD4 on Saturday but noticed a very lumpy idle from cold. Sounded like it was running on three cylinders until it warmed up then it was OK. I walked away for that and other reasons but wondered if this is common and if so what causes it.

Sorry for jumping in to your thread LUKBENPHI but thought it was relevant for you too.

Thanks for all the advice guys!

Unfortunately due to the feckers not bothering to turn up to view my car im back to square one so still waiting to get my first landy!

They txt me at 9pm on the day saying they had bought a car from grimsby audi instead, I replied informing them they were complete time wasters and hoped that the sea air rotted their audi! funnily enough they didn't replay to that one....

I've calmed down since :)

Sounds exactly like an A4 we used to have, was grumpy at startup and eventually when warmed up it'd be fine.
OD'd it on a 100x dose of redex diesel and the problem went away.
