thoughts on new tyres please...

evening all,

so I have no lifted it with Terrafirma +2" shocks and springs. It rides really well now I have to say.

I have got Insa Turbo Sahara 235 70 R16 on as you guys suggested in a previous thread that I could get away with these without buying wheels spacers.

My plan is to get some spacers to accommodate some larger tyres.

My question is what should I be considering size wise in order to give me some more height through the tyre and a bigger footprint.

I have considered 265 70's but as these wont give me more height, if there is bigger and it won't knacker drive shafts etc then feel free to suggest, I am all ears.

If you can let me know what size spacers I would need to stop it rubbing in relation to the suggested tyre size that would be great too. :)

A couple of mates are planning our first trip to Salisbury Plain, so if there are any volunteers out there who are going in the next month or so and wouldn't mind us tagging along please let me know!

Here is a new pic of it complete with steering guard. Making slow and expensive progress...

Cheers!

265 70 16s will give you more hight over a 235 70 16 but i'm assuming you mean 265/75r16 which are approx equivalent in size to 235/85r16

both of these will give you a hight advantage over a 235/70r16

the hight difference is calculated thus
235 / 100 x 70 = 164.5 (which is your side wall hight in mm)
235 / 100 x 85 = 199.75
265 / 100 x 75 = 198.75
