Things can only get better...... surely

Bought my first Defender last week. A 1994 200tdi. Cut to the punchline 29 miles after paying and heading home on a 80 mile journey oil pump failed and so did the engine !!!
So this week sees a fully reconditioned engine. Hopefully I will be mobile soon. I’m looking forward to some fun.

How did the pump fail?

i just noticed the oil light but temperature was normal then I noticed a massive increase in engine noise. Crank and bearings and probably lots more
