These keep you busy for sure

Have owned my 2006 TD4 for about a month. Rough start… diesel leak from the engine started halfway on the trip from Bergen to Tromsø. Turns out a lot of garages up here won’t touch Land Rovers with a ten foot pole. Found a webasto dealer that was also a garage and they took care of the leak cheap.

So far I have started hunting for a new cushion(found) for the driver’s seat and need to find a cover for it as well. LED interior lights upgrade. Found at least 5 blown fuses that were causing problems… the best type of problem: easy and cheap. The FBH was one of these. Installed a new window lift and all the windows work properly now. Cleaned all the facias and interior surfaces.

Still to do:
New exhaust system
Parking sensor speaker and repair of fishtank at the same time
Remove interior and locate rust issues and fix.
Sunroof motor replacement(low priority up here)
Silicone hose upgrade
Instrument panel backlighting
Extra outlets for the backseat

Anyone know the part number for the optional outlet for the back of the armrest/console?

Do you know there are rust issues that need fixing, or are you removing the interior to check for rust issues?

Don't know what the part number is. Mine is an early one that didn't have the cubbybox. My later parts car had 1 and it had the power socket so I've moved that over. I haven't known what to do with the window winder switches - but in writing this I just realised that I should put a power socket in there cos I'm often using the power socket in the back for my e-Cig and its a PITA from the front seat I wonder if the Freelander cubbybox window switches are a standard size that I might get a USB socket to clip in

Now I have seen a rectangular dual USB with an led voltmeter fitted in the switch hole.

Not sure where it came from but a search may reveal.

Discontinued and obsolete according to Brit parts. So I will be doing something else. But the connectors in the cubby box are standard for a cigarette lighter connection

The rust I can see is on the seat mounts. I want to get the interior out and fix anything that needs it. At the very least wire brush and hammerite… plus the carpets could use a good cleaning
