Is this normal? When i first set off it can be a bit difficult to change gear without getting grinding from the gears, normally between 1st and 2nd, and 4th to 3rd. However once everything has warmed up no prob`s. Does anyone else get this if so should i worry

I have a 1989 2.5TD 90 CSW and had similar problems untill i recently replaced the clutch release bearing, though mine was a swine to change between 2nd and 3rd.

do a gear shift to all gears before moving off. works for me. usually happens on mine on a cold day. maybe it's just the gearbox oil not flowing.
