Hi,
I guess it's about time to change coolant on my 1996 TD300 Discovery. I found a nice generic advice on how to change coolant but realised soon enough that none of that applies to me
Obviously there's no drain plug on the radiator? Right? Then I found this Land Rover Repair: flushing coolant on a Discovery I, radiator hose, expansion tank but nothing seems to make any sense. I cannot find the drain plugs on the engine block, mainly I think, because I dunno where to look.
Besides, I read another source that said not to tamper with the drain plugs!
Another source said not to remove the thermostat.
Removing the hoses seems an absolutely crazy crazy crazy idea! They can crack, snap etc... but I guess there's no other way.
So what is the proper way of changing coolant?
