the old girl did well

well i had my reservations before i set off but we hooked the caravan up for a 10 day tour of france. we did 1500 miles from preston round france and back not a problem the old girl did good averaged 16mpg on gas 18 on petrol and that included towing the van was more than happy so am going to put my 22inch wheels back on( bought a set of wheels off a l322 didnt know how the roads would be , but to b honest they were all good roads) .some people though really get my back up. after she came back from the gas conversion couldnt keep oil in it would use about 3 pints to 500 miles so l thought i would buy another engine top hat it and swop it, changed the plugs before we went ang guess what! the b*****d who did the conversion lost the little curly hose that goes to the rocker cover and manifold (4.0 ltr thor ) made one himself, engine couldnt breathe, my son found the original one down by the engine mounting reffitted it 1500 mile not used a drop so i am going round ther after and going to insert said hose up his jacksie rant over.

looking forward to having mine back on the road and heading off to France again

poor service, anyone that has ever worked on a car knows that when you drop something in an engine bay it gets eaten by the black hole. you just need to be tenacious and find it! don't bodge it!

From Longridge eh? Do they still put a pig on the wall at the corner of Whittingham and Preston roads so the locals know it's Sunday? Rumour is the pig fell of once, it was utter chaos.

no we are civilised now wammers do u know anybody in our area who can scan this motor started popping back on petrol and running like a bag of s***e this morning wondered if the maf sensor is up the shute

Just disconnect MAF if it runs better that is the problem. I don't have petrol diag. But my lad uses ILRS in Murray St for his L322. Says they are pretty good. 01772 555634.

when its hot or does it not matter , if i cant doe anything with it will let noel at ilrs look at it

Anytime, just disconnect it and see if it improves any. Should be easy to pick up on diag. It will be buggering the fuelling up.
