Hi,

Been umming and ahhing about getting myself a Freelander for a while and finally bit the bullet a few weeks ago and bought me a nice little gem of a 2004 TD4 facelift.

Looking to go off-road and a bit of laning when it's ready for it. Went to a club event on Saturday in Telford, was a good day but was swarmed with Defenders.

Anyway, iv got big plans for the Freebie so keep your eyes on this one. I'm a BMW master tech so any help i can give about the TD4s M47 engine, please feel free to ask. It's a great engine so long as it's looked after in the right way. But you all know that already! After all I'm the new kid...

This is how it looks now, but already have some 16" modulars en route and some BFG KM2s to wrap em in. Allisport EGR bypass has been ordered and 2" lift kit is next on the list so keep your eye on this one...

Thanks for the great forums and keep up the good work...

Nice colour and looks like a clean car. Good luck with it and will follow with interest.
Interesting to know a BMW master mechanic feels it is the engine is better with the EGR bypassed. I've read stuff from several people who claimed to be experts and said the opposite.
