o_O... or another ideea, as that new pump is not leaking just not delivering well it might have some internal manufacturing defect but maybe you can take the seals out of it intact and fit them into your old pump ??

very true but its still a case of sealing it ,i will try ringing that place you sent link to as there web page still down

well went and got gasket paper today as all sealants /loctite i have has not worked so will try to make a new gasket tonight but in mean time the postman had been today so need to fit my new items :) and drop the oil for a full oil and filter change

these arrived today :)

so first things first the oil,i dropped the oil last week and added some cheap oil to flush the system while i waited for the filters to arrive (arrived yesterday with my new battery)
so dropped the oil, found why i had oil every where around the engine, the oil filter was not screwed on hand tight it was only just on !!!! so took that off ,dropped the oil and will leave plug out over night ,also changed top cartridge filter ,cleaned the housing

ready to refit tomorrow
then fillet the new cam cover plug thing

was so easy i agree this should be a service part
next was the bias plate on gear stick

here we go lol

did not take long to get in there

and theres the problem :)

as you can see its snapped
now to rebuild :)

all in and greased

the rubbers are a bit ripped so sealant first

then lets do a proper job :)

all done and like new :)

will put everything else back together tomorrow ,but the gears feel so much better!!!!

lol no no no i found it :)
they sending me a replacement :)
but still waiting for the postman lol because of where i live, the couriers have problems getting in to drop things off :-(

YAY YAY steering pump arrived today :):):)
all fitted and seems to be working spot on :):):)

also fitted a new diesel filter ,that was a very easy filter change ,thought it would be much more work that that lol ,did the bleed routine ,and alls well :)

now just waiting for the MYHERMES courier to arrive with my new HAWEYE ,been waiting for that since the 8th

I had same issue, V8 though....leaked but worked well when fulll......rebuilt with Gasket kit...now NO LEAK but hard steering....even after attempted bleeds...no idea here!
Kit though is here....
Also, I used zero sealant, just the dry gasket....sealed up tight! not a spot in sight, so nice since whole quarter under bonnet was wretched soaked before!
just wished my steering was power assisted again........:/

I thought the lights seemed bright lol turns out he had fitted a zenon kit to the car brill ,NOT!!!!!
the **** had rammed the bias thing and relay etc into the light fitting!!!! and to top it off not even refitted the covers thats why bulb blowen as lights full of water!!! aaaahhhhhh i hateCOWBOYS if your going to do something to mod the car do it CORRECTLY!!!

then the passanger well what can i say the **** had rammed the side light bulb in at a angle and its melted into the light fitting !!! spent 30 mins with a dremmel ,but all done now

IM moving back to the UK end of the month ,and will need new uk spec lights :-( im told there mega money

is there any way the older preface lift lights would fit??? (on that im woundering if he just added these facelift lights? its a 2003 model but has a height adjustment switch in the car but cant see anything in the headlights that the switch would run and of course the hight switch does not do anything)
