V8 for V8 actually so hoping its gonna be fast but I don't have the tools or a pit

They said 2 days max and I think they started yesterday, but theres a few more things they need to do to make it MOT worthy

Ah nice, that's gonna be a thirsty beast!

You don't need a pit for a landy though, that's the joy, you can easily get under them to fix things!

Well I don't have the crane anyway :p or a helpful friend or two to lift the engine into place

LR spares have a forklift and a crane as well as a Scania with a crane on it if the others break  hoping they have it done soon but my list was rather long. Mainly electrics

It was a V8 anyway but I decided to replace it with a V8 that works, I'm in it for the noise really :D:D:D:D

Just wanna bump this up to live..:nospamhere: but with it bein not far off now.. last chance to get names down guys :D:D:D

LandyWatch Bonfire Weekend / Autumn Adventure - LandyWatch

Just down the road from me (20 miles), BUT doubtful my Disco will be on the road in time to attend :(

Anyone stuck & can't get home due to needing spare part's then I've got a 4 berth caravan out back if you need to crash (for a family/couple only ... wifey's order's ... she has some weird idea that male LZ'rs are dirty fckr's lol:eek:).

as an update they havent started the transplant yet so its looking like a no go this year

That's good news for me at least, as I'd be well annoyed at missing a local "event". Hopefully with a better response it might come to fruition sometime in the future.... a suggestion to the organiser's, not arrange a meet in the Autumn/Winter month's as this area is very cold/wet this time of year;).

well its not local to me :p

I think a summer time rally would be more fun though, using dusty old loose roads rather than mudded up ones

Get them rear-wheel series' going sideways  I should have the rollcage in then too

From what I know of the "local" lanes in this area, they are really unused & very scratchy. But the organiser's may well be using other's. Biggest issue around here is "old fart" farmer's protecting there land (despite them being Boat's etc.) with firearm's! It's all about who you know around here, and it help's if you speak welsh:D

And I thought Landy Owners where a hardy bunch!

We are already planning a summer event that will provide an opportunity like never before, however I cant say any more on that one!

Christmas event is being planned however will just be a one day event so you wont have to get cold...

There will be a lot more to come, this is our first event, but should be good none the less.

Winter's fine with me, best times out in the landy were in snow. Camping is also fine, went out with 'the group who shall not be named on this forum' in January camping in the middle of Wales in temperatures around -10 downwards, it was brilliant! (and that was in a tent - i'm at least bringing the trailer tent to this event)

Your missing out Dewin and Mr Evil... :)
