The lakes district 2nd dec 2012

we need to sort out time and a place just got in done 190 miles today laning round hawes and settle met a nice police man who want to check all my details luckly i had them with me

I've not had a chance to have a look at viewranger and sort a route, sammy do you know any over there that you can put together? I don't think I will get one done.

i will do my best to sort a route out i see what i can do only done the lakes once

I've got most of the lanes marked up for that area, only trouble is they're on OS paper maps mate.

iv got memory map and i have a lap top i take with me in car so i will go on trail wise and mark up all the lanes that are open up that way then we can sort a route out on the morning if thats ok

where does everyone live could do with knowing so we can sort a good place that is handy for everyone to get to i am in bury lancs bout an hour an half from the lakes

I'm in gateshead, I would come along the a66 to Penrith or the a69 to carlisle then down the m6. about an hour an a half from Penrith

Sounds like a plan sammy. I'm just down the road from Lee, so probably an hour and 15 mins. Me and Lee will probs travel over together anyway.

ok so i am about the same time away as you guys so we need some were in the middle we should be ok to do grizedale as the rallying is on the 1st of dec just looked on the web site

what about meeting at junction 38 of the m6 i no a good lane thats starts at greenholme

Junction 38 is a good meeting point, I'll come the a66 and turn off towards Kirkby Stephens

Yeah defo Lee. Think it might be worth PM'ing the 2 other bods on here, see if they're still interested.

I'm still interested but don't want to do Grizdale if it's rocky, the mention of some Wendy lanes round Langdale (IIRC) sounds good.

Anyroad I'm off to Dalby tomoz and Cropton on Saturday so I think I'll be pushing me luck if I tell her indoors we are off rallying to Grizdale next Saturday and Laning on Sunday.

Aparently someone has to do some christmas shopping sometime!
