Hello All, happy to be a part of this group. I've lingered on the site for a couple of years and finally decided to join. I'm grateful to all the senior members here whose posts have unknowingly helped me a lot in the past.
I live in between New York City and Costa Rica. In NYC I drive a 2001 Land Rover Disco, which I've outfitted with OME suspension, gt grabbers and even a snorkel (which stands out a lot since no one has ever really seen a snorkel before in NYC!)
In Cost Rica, however, is where I keep my pride and Joy...2006 LR Defender Td5, all black with ARB bumber and unlike my city Disco, a much needed Safari Snorkel! In this beach town in the northern pacific region of CR, many locals refer to me as the "Gringo with the Black Dender," a badge I where proudly.
Toyota cruisers, kinda rule down here so us Defender owners, as few of us as there are, gotta stick together. I recently seen a bumper sticker that read..."I'd rather push my Land Rover than drive a Land Cruiser!" --- I have and I would!!!
