Surprisingly there are very few limitations in their T&C's ... just a couple of components that you would expect are not covered! Can't remember which ones. I'm sure it wouldn't be so straight forward when you attempt to get a refund after 23 months though.

No mate, but I have a feeling I may have read a very brief version?

Reason I ask is that I want to have a skim through it before spending any of my hard earned on Britpart stuff

Doesn't seem to be freely available on the Britpart website.

I just picked up a Britpart Catalouge and it states on the front 24mth parts Garuntee
But I also Heard That they are possibly taking over Allmakes aswell!!

Got mesself a brand spanking new set of Britpart front arms bushings and rubbers.

They were torn to shreds in 800kms! (eight hundred, no zeros missing). On bad roads, ok, but that's what they're supposed to be meant for...

Had to cut replacement radius arm rubbers from local shoes, made out of used tyres.

..I have used some of their parts and they've been fine.....We should all actively encourage anything made in Great Britain, from farmers to car parts by buying it......the more we buy, the more complaints they will get and then they will either get better or disappear......(Like the police, we must all report the crime even if we know nothing will or can be done as it must be registered so the powers that be know how bad it is)....

However if your experience is that it breaks too quickly then your not going to put your hand in the dogs mouth too many times i think...

ive never had a general part fail on me and all the filters ive had from them seem fairly decent, well made. But the lift springs ive had from them are beyond crap 3 months and under 4k miles and they have sagged left to right by over an inch shoulda stumped up the cash for terrafirma springs

Yes but are britpart bits made here? I doubt it. They source and sell pattern parts at reasonable prices, the source of these parts will likely make them in the cheapest way possible. I don't think BP actually makes anything?

I have used them but not for essential parts, I'm running BP filters now, short life items I am happy to use but I would never it a BP clutch.

does it really take 110 post for folk to work out that the answer is always maybe?
we all know quality is questionable but price is cheap. Most want to fit the best they can afford so unless you want to post up your bank details.....how am I supposed to know!

britpart thermostat killed the engine in my dse within 24hrs returned after i tested it and said it was faulty
they said it was fine but strangely wouldnt return it to me! cracked cylinder head thank you!
britpart viscous fan leaked its fluid ran of balance and snapped and fired a fan blade out the bonnet within minutes of being started
cheap and poor quality would use for some stuff but not others probably made in china for peanuts you get what you pay for!!!!!!!

For the sake of £30 I think will order one elsewhere. I was thinking that Im working near where can pick up a britpart one on monday, and thinhing about it more, dont realy want a rad kicking about in back my van all day, never a safe place for damageable goods

How about a little punctuation when you write something? I ran out of breath and had to read it four times to make sense of it! :doh:

Iv come to the verdict that Britpart is just a bit of a chance. Iv a britpart rad that seems to be ok and a rear door and probably some other things that are alright.

But iv had 5 brand new alternators and not one has worked.

You pay your money, you take your chance. Might be good might be ****e.

Late December 2010 I bought 2 Britpart galvanised door tops for my soft top S3

Took the canvas and door tops off the other day for the sun (Wishful thinking I know) only to notice ALL the screws in the window channel have rusted over and the bottom face of the tops has started to rust !!!

I Know Britpart are the cheap alternative but until now I thought galvanised meant galvanised!!!

Obviously Britpart source their parts as cheaply as possible, as others have said, and the result is lower quality. A door mirror I bought sheared off its mounting arm within a few miles - just poorly cast and low-grade steel.

That said, cosmetic and accessory parts are fine - it doesn't matter if they break or don't last. But I wouldn't now use Britpart for any mechanical parts, particularly if there's a safety implication - imagine Britpart brakes, for example.

You get what you pay for in this life and there is nothing particularly wrong with Britpart - their aim is clear, to supply you with the cheapest possible parts at the expense of quality. The same is true of the other cheap pattern parts suppliers. If you want better parts, you've got to pay more money.

the bigest prob with britpart is ok it works but if you have forked out for whatever part you would expect it to be fit for purpose well when you least expect any thing to go wrong it dose and inevatably its a britpatr part that dose go mad and get a re boxed oe part slightly more expensive but you know it will work

I have Britpart suspension and everyday I am waiting for them to collapse at the worst moment but so far they have done me proud. As everyone says, it is a bit of a gamble!
