As the great photobucket ransom situation of 2017 has ruined a fair few threads, mine included I thought I'd bang some photos up on here. Not so much a rebuild thread more a thread to document where I go with it and various maintenance jobs to keep her as my daily driver. Soon to include an overdrive rebuild, new clutch and new fuel tank so hopefully will put a decent amount of pictures on here.
To get started here are a few old pictures of when my granddad had it
here's a couple of pictures taken when I went camping to a friend's house in Lincolnshire for bonfire night
An upgrade I've made since then has been to swap the old starter on my 2.5NA for one off of a 300tdi which has considerably improves the starting
This photo highlights the size difference between the 2.25 diesel starter that was fitted and the later 300tdi
Also a gratuitous shot of my homemade switch and radio panel
