On the way back from work today, i heard a bang from the front of the car, the steering went very stiff and moments later I got an Alternator Failure warning.
So i pulled over to check the carnage. . .
The tensioner was still there and looked like it was still attached, the belt was fine and still attached. . .
Just a little confused???
But the belt was slack.
After stripping of the plastic covers, the appears that the upper tensioner bolt had snapped, as had one of the bolts for the cable guild over the front of the engine.
I know its going to be a bit of a mare, but have dremmel with right angled head and easyouts, but. . .
Does anybody know the diameter and length of both bolts?
So i know what i am having to drill & tap out :-O
Sorry, its a manual '98 DSE.
