Temperature Gauge

ive had a problem with my landrover, even starting it from cold (could be left 2 days) as soon as i start it the temperature goes straight to half way then gets higher and higher i have change the sender and the gauge but still does it
aany ideas?????

Sounds electrical to me, but I'm probably not the best person to respond (look at my previous threads). Give us some more details, tho. Has it always done that or did it just start suddenly?

FWIW, check the grounding on your coolant temp gauge. (I'm not really sure what this means, but I've heard some smart people say it before ... )

Edit: Took out stupid suggestions after reading your question and profile more carefully. Also, when you say the gauge goes straight to half way - do you mean almost instantaneously or after just a copule mins?

It's probably earthing out somewhere.

As said, check the wiring.

Presume no issues with overheating for real?
