Hi, I could do with some advice please. When ever i go on long journeys doing around 60mph - 75mph for a long time my temperature gauge decides to have a mind of it's own.
It goes right across to past the red mark and generally just bounces about, then if I pull over and turn the engine off for a min then back on it goes back to normal. Then after a bit it will play up again.
It has done it a few times when just driving locally when the engine hasnt really had the chance to warm up to a high temperature, but mainly on long journeys.
I have had the temp sensor replaced in the top of the engine two weeks ago and it's still doing it.
It gets quite worrying at times as you can well imagine.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Someone said to me it could be an airlock in the heater matrix?
