P38A temp gauge dead sensor amr5929? £45 for a temp sensor?

gents 4.6 hse temp gauge not working, so I put meter across terminals on green sensor that is next to alternator( I believe this is for the gauge and the black one on the inlet manifold is for the ecu) let it warm up but get no resistance so sensor is dead, so the part no is amr5929 but looking for the part on google show's from £45 - £100 for this temp sensor omg, black sensor is only about a tenner, any one know where to get this a bit cheaper or an alternative?
