teething probs

ok so the disco 300 tdi enjin is in me fender

when you leave it overnight and then go out and start it for the 1st 30 secs or so it ticks over ok but when you floor the accelerator its as though its firing on 3 cylinders and it kicks out shed loads of white smoke.

it soon runs fine and the white smoke clears,ive done some searching and im guessing that the white smoke is unburnt fuel?could the fuel be seeping past the injector/s overnite?

i havent connected the airbox or snorkel as yet so i dont know if thats a contributing factor?

the engine drives superb and the ammount of power is unreal.

one other issue i noticed tonite was if i accelerated hard in any gear and then backed off without changing gear,it seemed to kick out some white smoke aswell but clears as soon as you accelerate again,but it doesnt do this all the time..

as the 300 is new to me im after some help getting to know me way round it as im used to the 200..

Head gasket leaking?.... whats the coolant levels like... have you checked them?

all coolant was replaced when engine was put in
