This would help me remain upright (kind of important when my youngest passenger is only 16 months!). I assume this is true but knowing now might save me some heartache.

now maybe I'm being a tad protective, but with a 16 month old child in the car, I wouldn't be doing anything that could potentially end up with the car on its side or roof. Bit of gentle green laning, on a lane I know to be okay, definitely.

All up for giving it large etc etc, been in plenty of scrapes myself for sure. But when the little people are with me, first responsibility to them every time. If I get stuck (best case) what am I going to do with them while I wait for help, try to get the vehicle out etc? If the vehicle rolls, will it be a good experience for them ? Unlikely. Being cut out of a child seat upside down will not make them easy travellers in future.

Just a thought.

Ah yes but I should point out that my shogun boasts a posh new enhancement over older vehicles... doors. If I am going to do something dodgy then the baby gets out and walks. (with mum of course). Gentle green laning, or even more challenging green laning is fine because even though it is difficult it is not hazardous unless you choose for it to be.

Some mates and I were exploring off road earlier, we saw a faint sign in the distance, as i came down this track it said 'Danger Quicksand'.....................Reverse.
