Try operating the hazard switch several times, the switch isolates the stalk column switch and if not correctly reconnected the normal side to side lights will go wrong.
I must admit these circuits are a headache and I have been doing electrics for decades they still can do you up. The best way to go around any problem like this is by staging and noting what things you have tested. The fact that you have got the hazards working is proof that all wiring is going to the lamps. The switch could be wrongly wired, revise the wires and see if the column switch cut out is the right way around.

Hi and thanks for the input.

How do you mean the switch could be wired wrong? (excuse me if I'm asking stupid questions !! )
The old indicators all seemed to work prior to changing the complete loom and converting to LEDs. Are you saying the new loom is not compatible with the stalks ??

As the stalks were a bit old and wobbly i have decided to change them all out for new but if they might not be compatible to the loom how would i go about testing them?

thanks
Kev

First, read my post which explains how the system works if you have not already. Many many folks fail to understand how the indicator circuit works which is actually very simple if you look at it, but to be honest does make for a fairly complicated hazard switch which can knock out the whole system when something stops working correctly.

The hazard switch has done it's job by the time the flash feed gets to the stalk, so for it to work one way but not the other does suggest the stalk has failed in one direction and may be repairable by simply bending a contact over a little or fixing a loose connection. It MAY be possible for a stupid hazard switch failure to stop the system working because the feeds to the LH and RH indicators are also linked to the switch but I doubt it.

Now, if the indicators work on one side, then the flash circuit which feeds the stalk works OK which also means the stalk clearly is compatible with the loom as it plugged in didn't it?

FIXED !!!!:5bhurray::5bhurray::5bhurray:

Turned out to be the stalk switch, after thinking about replacing the old switches i went and bought a set pretty cheap ( under £35 for the lot ) from ebay. fitted them today and all was good with the world!!!

Thanks to all for the help and ideas.

Much appreciated.

Back to work wednesday for another 6 weeks and then hopefully the landrover back together next leave period and in for MOT!!

Cheers

:mad::mad: arghhhh!!!!!

1 step forward 3 back with electrics!!!

Just returned from working abroad with a view to connecting it all up permanently and, haveing soldered one rear wing up i moved over to the other and now apear to be back to the bloody indicators not working from the stalk!!
New Loom, New Stalks, News Lamps, New Relay.......could it be the hazard switch???
This is doing my F(&(((ing Head in.
Tried contacting Keith Gott in Hampshire to see if they would quote me for taking over the end re-build to sort the wiring and brake lines out but nothing back from them as yet.
Only home for another week and then away again for 4-6 weeks.
Any other ideas guys?
Any wizards in Portsmouth/Fareham area that could offer time &/or assistance for beer tokens?
What a mega pain.:confused:

Forgot to mention the Fog light that was working has also stopped!!!

I guess i'll be disconnecting the soldered stuff on the left and starting again to make sure i have not cocked that up but as i did it one off one on i cant see how :-(
