Greetings and thanks to all who reply!!!

My issue is that my ex BT 110 hardtop is slowing dying inthe engine department. She has just had a new crossmember and drives very tight for an older landie and due to her past owner is in outstanding condition for the year so i would rather rebuild than depart company with her.
Should a buy a cheap 200 Disco and strip for the engine? will it mate to my gearbox and will i have to move engine mounts? Defender engines are like hens teeth so can it be done this way??
Kind regards

Yes it should, but you would be better looking for the Defender 200tdi although slightly more expensive.

The disco one can be made to fit in, but the turbo sits to high, it will mate the g-box np, the engine mounts are the same for 2.5NA and 200tdi (or at least I think they are because if you buy a new chassis its the 2.5na/td and 200tdi you get).
