TD5 Wiring Loom

Hi All, apologies if the following has already been covered. My car is D2, TD5, 2002. I have 3 electrical problems; 1. No voltage to MAF sensor. 2. Air Con clutch not engaging. 3. Glow Plug relay fault; no power to plugs.
I've hot wired MAF sensor and air con when needed and can live with those but not attempted glow plugs yet. Now cold mornings are here and bad starting. I think maybe its best to put in a complete wiring harness from the ECU. I'd appreciate any advice, not sure if Defender TD5 is same as D2 and is it a difficult job? Do I have to mess about with wires going to the black ECU plug?

No you dont untill you dont know exactly what's the problem... as you didnt mention, did you check F2? ... anyway if it's good the first suspect would be the fusevox then the ECU
 
Thanks for the reply and that's good news, if I do need to go down the route of a wiring harness it will keep it a bit simpler for me. I'm not great with electrics. Sorry not to have given a fuller explain: I changed the injector harness
a few months ago, there was only minimal oil seeping through, I also removed,checked and cleaned the ecu so it's clear. Fuses and relays are all good, I find it very difficult to trace the wires back to the ecu as the colours of the wires seem to
my eyes to have faded and not traceable. The glow plug light comes on in the dash and waits for the appropriate period; longer if cold and shorter if engine is warm, and all that seems to be okay. There is no power to glow plugs. Nanocom says Glow plug relay fault, Open load.
It says the request to the A/C clutch are also on when asked for so (but it's not) so it seems to be after the ECU? With the MAF and A/C Clutch coming off the same extension from the wiring loom and given their location
I thought it may be damaged wires (heat-chaffing etc...)
I live in the Highlands and it's not easy to get a good auto electrician, I wondered of replacing the whole loom might be the most straightforward approach for me rather than stripping down my own.
It is a risk buying a second hand wiring loom as they could be damaged and it's mostly Defenders that are listed.
Anyway, any further advice would be really appreciated. Maybe I just need to get into the wiring and try to visibly locate and damage but I'm wary of getting in over me head.
