I still have this same problem after fitting genuine mounts. Can feel the vibration in park/neutral at 2k rpm. Any ideas chaps?

The TD5 engine does have a vibration but usually more like @2250 rpm i think. This may just be a 5 cylinder engine being a bit out of balance at this engine speed.
don't think it is much to worry about.
As you can see form this, others seem to see it at thsi speed and others at both your speed and even other speeds!

I honestly wouldn't worry about it!:)

Hi mate,
No, it is quite severe when driving and you are right it is about 2250.
I know it's not right because I've just drove another on and it was like a Rolls Royce in comparison :D

Flywheel potentially, even if its an SMF thats been put in as they obviously aren’t factory fit on a Td5. Other one is centrifugal filter which if off balance, could cause vibrations. But mine vibrates at 2k and so do many others. Its not severe but just perceptible if you are looking for it. It was bad when i first got it, but a new centrifugal filter made it a lot better.

Should have said, it's an auto.
It's had a new centrifugal.
I don't know if the transfer box mounts can go soft, the look ok but they are nearly 22 years old now.
I'll update if I ever find the cure!

Check handbrake as well. In my case that was the root cause (i had vib around 2700-3000).

I can feel it in park so it eliminates the drivetrain/handbrake drum (thanks though)
I have just ordered a harmonic damper AKA crankshaft pulley as I read about the 'tell tale squeak on engine shutdown' which it has always had. Visually it looks ok but it's time for the parts cannon to come out :)
I'll update once I've had a chance to fit it

Fitted the pulley as had ordered it already, still vibrating but the squeak has gone. So basically a waste of money!
Could the belt really cause a vibration??

No sorry, just the squeaking. This vibration thing is common it seems, but i would guess its a variety of things.

When you say feel it in park, does it mean that the handbrake applied? As I remember I also had the vibration in park but when pulled handbrake it changed. I think, even the car is not moving, the handbrake cable can transfer some vibration from the engine to the cabin.
You can check it very easily, while driving and having the vibration, carefully lift the handbrake lever (just one click or even less) just to put some tension to the cable. That was the way how I found it.
