hi i was wondering if any one has any suggestions? I have a 2001 discovery td5. I have had autos before but this is the first time with a manual. when accelerating there seems to be a dealy before it picks up, aslo when decelerating i lift my foot of the throttle and its seems to be a second or two before it starts to decelerate almost as if if doesnt register straight away. it has had a new mass air flow meter but i was wondering if it could be the throttle potoimeter any help would be great.

My 52 plate manual td5 has started to do the same. When you accelerate from overrun there is like a jerk when it starts to take up drive and when you are coming to a stand still but still barely on the gas,it does the same.Really jerky at low speeds but I still absolutely love the car.I'm doing roughly 100 miles a day just now and it is definitely the best car I've ever had.I went for a test drive in a 57plate disco 3 and to be frank,LR can keep them......too low

could be the clutch switch playing up, its meant to tell the ecu when your off the pedal but can go faulty normally holding revs between gear changes is one symptom

Fully depress and release the pedal five times in a quick sequence with ignition on pos II then turn ignition off and start the engine. it's atrick to reset the throttle sensor
