I dont think the battery is the culprit nonetheless I will swap it with my Mercedes battery and see if that makes any difference.

I follow the first one..
I dont think there any serious serious issues with fuel quality since this problem started only a couple of days back and all this time there has been no change in fuel quality.

Thanks guys! I will get back.

Replaced the battery with a pretty much new one and of the same size.

But to no joy. Hasn't made any difference to the morning starts. Glow plugs are next.

If you have access to KEROSENE (clean kerosene!) or unleaded petrol, about 10% of that into the fuel will probably help, but duff glowplugs are a likely reason for poor starting, That or in a TD5, air in the fuel gallery. The only reasons small diesels have glow plugs is to help them to fire up from cold. If it's a cold day, and the plugs don't heat up well ....

Do you know how to purge a TD5 fuel gallery?

Turn on the IGN key so all the dash lights illuminate.
LEAVE the IGN ON FROM NOW ON!
LISTEN to the fuel pump whining. (right rear wheelarch)
When the pump stops, press the throttle right to the floor and up again five times, and the pump will start again. Do this as many times as you can be bothered, and certainly until the pump noise is a steady gentle whine with no sloshing noises, and then twice more.
Now try the starter, but keep your foot OFF the throttle pedal!

Thanks man. But I do not really want to do the petrol addition thing. That is because I have been using the same fuel all this time and the problem appeared only a couple of days ago.

So I wanna find the problem first. Which is probably glow plugs.

If you are suggestting this as an alternative to fixing the glow plugs for the time being then it is alright. But the starting is not too bad so I can live with it for a few days.

Yes I have purged the fuel system a few times now and I do not think there is any air in it since the fuel pump always whines smooth and steadily.
