TD5 sediment warning light

Hi just got a 90 td5, and this morning the sediment warning light came on. I have looked in the user manual and it says about draining the water from the fuel filter, however the pictures of the fuel filter are nothing like the actual one on the truck. We have a Merc van at work and have done it a few time on that and its so simple, i thought it would only take a few mins ?
Can anyone point me in the right direction

There are 3 types of bung on the bottom of them.

The filter is located under the drivers side rear wheel arch (I know it is on a 110 not 100% sure about a 90).

at the bottom of the filter is a type of bung which screws into the bottom. It will either be like a bottle top with a short pipe out the bottom, A big plastic knob or a plastic knob with wires coming out of it. By the sound of it for your light to illuminate it'll be the last of the three. Pull the multiplug connector undone. Put a container underneath and unscrew the plastic block. When the filter is empty, screw the plastic block back in and re-connect the wires.

Turn the ignition on and wait for the pump to finish primming. When the buzzing stops pump the accelorator 5 times. The pump will start again and carry on for a couple of mins. You may need to repeat this several times to completely purge the system of air.

Then re-start the engine.

the 90 1 is just slightly behind the seat box but forward of the wheel (just)

Thanks for the info, by the look of it i have the last type of fuel filter ( the one with the wires coming out of it). I'll have a go at draining it over the weeekend as its too dark when i get home from work.
