Hello
I'm looking for some new seats and seen some Td5 will these fit my 200Tdi?

I have the head lights, indicators, grill, under light trim and the metal plates the lights sit in with the adjusters off a 300Tdi. Will these be a good upgrade for my 200Tdi or what would?

Also I now have a full set of 15x10 wheels and a bargin one of ebay for £9.99 so have 5. So now need to find some tyres to fit has any one got any ideas? As cheap as possible. Baught a second hand set off ebay which when was fitted found to be no good for road use!!! They where leaking from repairs and had some cord repairs. I had to take them back. He is still selling them as good for road use....

The 200 Tdi is running a 2"lift and an arch kit so the wings have been cut back.

The 200Tdi has had some major work and time spent on it. So will figure out how to put some pics on here soon.

Thanks for your time and any info would be great.

Cheers

H

No the Td5 seats wont fit, unless you do a fair bit of fabrication work, you could make an armchair fit too if you do a lot of fabrication work, anything is possible to a certain extent.

The 300 tdi headlamps are a worthwhile upgrade over the original 200 tdi (Sherpa) units. I changed mine 2 years ago and I can actually see the road in front of me at night now! It was dangerous before I did it and not the easiest of jobs but well worth the effort.

Ow burn out a stalk that does not sound good. Has any one actualy done this mode and got any good info or pics etc.

With that in mind they must be a higher out put then.

Thank you for the feed back. I need to look at the lights a bit more then.

I was hoping the seat would with a bit of work bolt straight in, but wont bother now. Will try and find a 300Tdi ser.

Still looking for tyres.:(

If you've got the metalwork that the lights mount into from the 300 tdi it should be fairly straightforward to do as long as you can weld! The 300 tdi lights have more reflector area that 200 tdi units so make better use of the available light from the bulbs. I fitted uprated output bulbs keeping the normal 60/55 watts and they helped as well.
As Mad Hat Man says, using relays is a very good idea because dim headlamps are often due to voltage being dropped at the switches and connectors and where this happens things overheat and burn out.
