td5 running problem

Hi, I have a discovery 2 td5 and I am hearing a sound like running water now and again from a cooling pipe towards the bulk head. I have already released the air once but after a few miles the noise is back.

is this a head problem?or could it be something else? any feedback would be good. thank you

sounds like the head gasket may be on its way out. if you let air out and its back,check to see if there's more air there and sadly it looks like that may be your answer. hopefully im wrong and its something simple,cheers..Del.

thank you, very helpfull.......mine blows cold air through the air vents if not on the move, but warm when driving. anymore ideas?

also how much to have the head gasket done?

Are you sure the noise isn't the diesel running through the return hose to the fuel cooler? It's quite a noticeable trickle sound around the head and is normal.

okay, worth knowing & hope so, do not fancy a grand + on a HG repair
