Td5 rear tabs

Hi most Td5s have an internal bracket that sits forward of the rear of the tub, where most landies have welded tabs - that fixes the tub to the rear crossmember...

I've seen some newer Td5s that seem to have visible tabs, that are not welded to the crossmember, but dissapear off at an angle to presumably bolt on top of the crossmember, so like 5 seperate bolt-on tabs.

Anyone know if this is the case, and what the part is as it would be handy on my rebuild - or maybe i've imagined it. I think theres even a photo of the rear of one in this months (october) LRW, but can't find the mag.

FOUND IT - page 182. looks like seperate tabs..

Wot like bits of angle iron to bolt to the cross member and the tub. Ant you got the tabs/lugs welded to the crossmember?

nah the eejits at *itchards Chassis after sending me the wrong chassis, sent a replacement without tabs welded on... after a bit of polite complaining they were going to send out the TD5 bracket which they'd galv up for me, so that i'd accept delivery.

Three months on, numerous excuses later still no bracket - Saying that I'd rather have the tabs as I think the Td5 loses out on looks for not having them.

I'll give them a phone later - lastr time it was supplier problems yet I phoned my localish landy dealer and theyd have the bit in 2 days.

I know I'm being a bit churlish over a 40 quid part but after spendin 1400 hard earnd uns would be nice to get what I asked for!

If the chassis isn't complete cancel the credit card payment and demand they come and take away the frame. watch how quickly they get the part to you.

Aye, I ant got any complaints about Richards everythings gone together spot on. But make a few threats £1400 must buy you some customer satisfaction.
